As of a few weeks ago How To Do Things .com stopped their google adsense revenue sharing. I heard about it from a friend who wrote them very early Jan 2010 about her adsense from the site totally dropping out and when she inquired about it, they confirmed that they are no longer going to share revenue because they are reformatting their site. I’ve since heard this confirmed by several other people (I have seen their received emails from How To Do Things). They are however going to keep the thousands of content-articles that have been contributed to them. These writers are wondering why they were not informed by email weeks ago but they feel it is because the site wanted to keep writers publishing articles and to let them find out at the latest possible date. They are also complaining that the site is republishing their articles on Amazon under the name “Quick Easy Guides How To Guides” and are claiming rights in doing so but are not crediting the books to the author’s names nor giving them any share of the revenue from the books.
If you use this> “Quick Easy Guides How To Guides” in Amazon’s search bar it will take you to many of these ‘quick books’ that are the identicle titles/articles by people who wrote articles for their website.
